Dharmada K. Knuepfer finished her Diploma as a multi-media-designer in 1997 at the Fachhochschule Augsburg in Germany. Since then Dharmada has been working as a multi-media-designer for different companies and NGOs in Germany, Austria, India and California (and online for a NGO in Uganda).
She got her professional FAA certified drone pilot license in August 2021. Her passion is flying drones for real estate and creating stunning real estate videos.

Which license does a drone operator need?
A drone flyes in airspace up to 400 feet in the USA. Airspace is regulated by the FAA. Therefore every drone operator must fly according to FAA rules. A drone operator who shoots pictures or videos that will be used commercially (payed or unpaid) must pass the aeronautical knowledge exam: “Unmanned Aircraft General – Small (UAG)”. This license is also called part 107.

Is a drone pilot allowed to fly over people?
A drone pilot is not allowed to fly over people and also not over moving vehicles. That means that a drone can film people and crowds from a save distance from the side. If the people are part of the film team then it is allowed.

Music licensing is extra, depending on the music,
